Eye to Eye brings together middle school students (grades 5–8) who learn differently with local high school and college students who also learn differently, in a supervised, school-based setting.
While my title, “Dean of Discipline,” may sound a bit strict and traditional, our school has recently implemented a strategy that is proving to be transformational for teachers and students. As schools struggle to hire mental health workers, two new federal grants may help—the expanded School-Based Mental Health Services grants and the expanded Mental Health Services Professional Demonstration grants. The priorities for both programs also call for increasing diversity, and cultural and linguistic competency of school-based mental health professions to help reflect the needs of a diverse student population.

Harmony Game Room is a free app for iOS and Android from National University that includes a growing collection of games, tools, and other resources to help children in prekindergarten through grade 6 develop social-emotional learning (SEL) skills while they play.
