In an effort to ensure that all students have access to a world-class education that prepares them for college and careers, the US Department of Education has released a resource guide to help educators, school leaders, and community organizations better support undocumented youth, including Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients.
Teachers not only need to understand how to choose the right issues and create an open and fair climate for discussion; they also need to learn about themselves and their identities when leading discussions in racially pluralistic classrooms.
