Wonder League Robotics Competition

Students are invited to join the Wonder League Robotics Competition, sponsored by Wonder Workshop, and shine a spotlight on their impactful inventions in science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM).

The competition helps students develop computational thinking, problem solving, and creativity by learning to code. It also encourages a growth mindset and twenty-first century skills, and builds teamwork and community spirit.

The competition has three age brackets: the Innovator Cup for children aged 6–8, the Pioneer Cup for youth aged 9–12, and the Wonder Cup for youth aged 13 and up. Student teams design solutions to real-world science and technology challenges by programming robots. To inspire tomorrow’s inventors, the challenges are presented as a series of story-based missions, with students also conveying their scientific thinking through journaling.

Eligible participants are robotics teams of one to five children and one adult coach. The winning teams will each receive a cash prize of $5,000. Each member of the winning team will also receive a Dash robot.

Deadlines: Registration is open until December 31, 2021. January 14, 2022, is the final date for submissions. The invitational will start on February 21, 2022, and close on March 25, 2022. Winners will be announced on April 21, 2022.
