Webinar on the Health Benefits of Standing Desks
On March 6, 2017, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. (ET), the Amazing Resources for Educators community on edWeb.net will be hosting a webinar titled “Standing Desks: How and Why Educators Are Using Them.” This free webinar, sponsored by LearnFit by Ergotron, will share educators’ stories of implementing mobile standing desks to create an active learning environment. The educators will describe their observations, insights, and challenges in making the transition to a standing classroom. The webinar will also provide information, data, and resources for helping to build the case for standing desks in the classroom. Attendees will hear about ways to improve students’ health, behavior, and achievement through movement. K–12 educators, technologists, learning advisers, and instructional and curriculum development administrators are invited to join this live, interactive event. A question-and-answer segment will follow the presentation, which will be recorded and archived for members of the Amazing Resources for Educators community to access after the event.
