Video Series That Breaks Down the Complex Science of COVID-19
Scripps Research Institute has created a series of videos that answer “big questions” about the coronavirus. Only two minutes in length, the animated Science, Simplified videos dive into different aspects of the novel coronavirus, guiding students on a journey that spans the tiniest genetic machinery to the function of whole organ systems. The videos address questions such as: How do new mutations affect the coronavirus? How does a vaccine work against COVID-19? How do antibodies neutralize the novel coronavirus? How does the novel coronavirus infect a cell? and What are the parts of a coronavirus? Anyone who has a lifelong interest in scientific discovery will find the Science, Simplified videos both engaging and instructive.
