The National Inventors Hall of Fame (NIHF) reaches far beyond its museum in promoting creativity and advancing the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship in the next generation of inventors. The museum connects inventors who have built the world around us with the innovators of tomorrow.
Developed in collaboration with NIHF inductees, the museum’s invention education programs are designed to impact young minds through engaging, hands-on activities infused with the spirit of innovation. Hosted annually by more than 3,000 schools and districts nationwide, and led by certified educators, these immersive enrichment programs promote STEM concepts, Intellectual Property Literacy, and twenty–first century skills. Each program creates a supportive, collaborative learning environment where there are no wrong answers, empowering participants to build confidence in their natural ability to dream and create.
Among the programs are Camp Invention, a nationally acclaimed summer camp providing in-person and at-home learning opportunities for K–6 students; Club Invention, engaging, flexible afterschool STEM programs for grades 1–6; Invention Project, empowering STEM programming for grades 6–9; and Leaders-in-Training, a one-of-a-kind leadership program for students in grades 7–9. Additionally customizable professional development workshops for educators support invention education through interactive learning sessions, hands-on opportunities to apply the Innovation Mindset, and proven strategies for fostering students’ creativity and problem-solving skills.
