STEM Program Connecting Real-World Phenomena with 3D Learning
Twig Science Next Gen is a preK–8 STEM program built to address the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). The program provides comprehensive coverage of 3D science standards through engaging hands-on and digital investigations in which students take on the roles of real-world scientists and engineers. It brings real-world science into students’ lives through interactive Twig Books, theater-quality video, and engaging multimedia. Designed to make delivering the NGSS straightforward, even for nonspecialist science teachers, Twig Science Next Gen includes comprehensive TeacherEditions in print and digital formats for flexible lesson planning, a state-of-the-art 3D Performance Assessment suite, and an innovative, easy-to-use digital platform. The program’s culturally responsive and accessible instruction is designed to be inclusive of all students, regardless of race, gender, (dis)ability, or national origin.
Computer Science Education Week (CSEdWeek) is being celebrated around the world from December 6 to 12, 2021, as a way to promote computer science across the enterprise with students, families, educators, businesses, and communities. During CSEdWeek, educators and families are encouraged to organize an Hour of Code to recognize the importance of inspiring students of all ages to better understand computer science and codingconcepts, and advocate for equity. Here is a sampling of resources and events to help guide participation in CSEdWeek.
Through innovative and experiential education programs for K–12 students from under-resourced communities, Learning Undefeated sparks interest in STEM careers, building the workforce that will drive the innovation economy and bridging school, community, health, and business.
