InqITS (Inquiry Intelligent Tutoring System) is an online environment founded by university researchers for life, earth, and physical sciences. The design behind InqITS provides resources for teacher instruction and assessment, and for student education on critical science and learning skills.
InqITS puts students in control of their learning by leading an authentic inquiry experience through virtual labs aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards. As students work, InqITS uses technology algorithms that automatically assess students and generate real-time reports on classroom-wide and student-specific performance for educators. Teachers also receive real-time alerts as to which students need assistance and on what skills. Rex, an AI virtual tutor, also helps students in real-time as they move through the virtual labs. Teachers can walk through an InqITS virtual lab in full-screen mode online.
