BoomWriter is a simple-to-use and highly engaging writing platform that engages and inspires young writers. Students choose from one of BoomWriter’s story starts or write their own. Then they read, plan, and write the next chapter of the story. The work is anonymized, and BookWriter’s voting system allows students to decide how the story will progress. Reading, writing, and voting continue until the book is complete.
Each book will contain the story start and each winning chapter as voted by students. Each student’s own ending will be published as an alternative ending in their own book. Students can also use the platform to create bespoke journals for a variety of individual pieces of writing—a portfolio of their writing.
BoomWriter provides fully adaptable resources, including short video tips to help students with key elements of narrative writing. The cost is $12.99 for a personalized printed book and access to all of the materials.
The Little Free Library app for iOS and Android mobile devices makes it easy for users to find little library locations near them. They can get directions to the nearest ones, create routes, and save their favorites.
