Since 1989 the National Student Leadership Conference (NSLC) has invited a select group of outstanding high school and middle school students to participate in its fast-paced, high-level, interactive summer sessions.
Sponsored by the National Student Leadership Foundation, the NSLC provides students with the opportunity to experience life on a college campus; develop essential leadership skills; and explore a future career through exciting simulations, exclusive site visits, and interactive meetings with renowned leaders in their chosen field.
Each year thousands of educators nominate students who have demonstrated academic excellence and extracurricular involvement. NSLC’s academic summer programs encourage diversity and place a high value on community service and socialresponsibility. The NSLC accepts nominations for current sixth- through twelfth-grade students.
The Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) invite middle school and high school students to join A Space for Us All, a virtual educational experience examining and building on the legacy of achievement, connection, and knowledge of African Americans at NASA.
