Journey Through the History of Art in Augmented Reality
Developed by Artebinaria, Artinside Museum offers users a visit in augmented reality to an imaginary museum in which 100 masterpieces from the thirteenth to the twentieth centuries are exhibited in the space around them, in life size, within four collections and twenty exhibition rooms. Teachers and students can use the Artinside Museum app wherever they want—at home or outdoors, alone or with others.
Users choose a collection (Everyday Life, Portraits, Classical Mythology, or Religious Art) and start their journey into the history of art in augmented reality. They will discover 100 great paintings selected by an art historian. Each artwork is enriched by audio commentary, in English, which users can activate simply by “touching” the artwork during their visit. The Artinside Museum also contains information sheets of each artwork and biographies of more than 60 artists. Cost: Free app, with option for in-app purchases.
