Integration of Information Technology into Teacher Education Programs

SITE is a society of the Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education (AACE). The organization promotes the development and dissemination of theoretical knowledge, conceptual research, and professional practice knowledge through conferences, books, projects, and the Journal of Technology and Teacher Education (JTATE).

SITE Interactive 2022, the organization’s fall online-only conference, will take place from October 5 to 8. This interactive, online conference is designed for educators in all disciplines, computer science coordinators, K–12 administrators, curriculum developers, principals—all interested in improving education through technology.

Topics will address the use of information technology in teacher education, as well as improvement of instruction and mentoring using information technology in innovative ways, in in-person, online, and/or blended environments. The online format of the conference will allow participation by those who otherwise would be unable to attend due to funding, time constraints, or travel restrictions. The online format will also provide opportunities to interact with session presenters and participants (synchronously and asynchronously) prior to, during, and after the event. K–12 teacher registration is $135; student registration is $65.

Plus: The Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education sponsors LearnTechLib, an online resource for aggregated, peer-reviewed research on the latest developments and applications in learning and technology by the world’s leading publications and authors.
