Guide to the World of Robots

The Institute of Electrical & Electronic Engineers (IEEE) presents the world’s coolest robots, all in one place. Users of IEEE’s iPad app can learn all about robots—how they work and how they are changing the world. They can explore more than 200 robots, humanoids, drones, and self-driving cars, with thousands of photos, videos, and interactives. Inspired by the amazing world of robots, they will learn how they can get started in robotics. Cost: Free

Plus: IEEE’s Guide to the World of Robots has the potential to inspire children to learn computational thinking and computational making, which in turn will enable them to create amazing things in the future. Children will meet 200 robots from 19 countries. They can make robots move and spin on their screen. They can view more than 800 spectacular photos and watch more then 600 videos of robots in action. They can play the Robot Face-off game and explore Robot Rankings (top rated, creepiest, most wanted). They can also read technical specs about each robot and keep up to date with daily robot news.
