CompTIA has created future//of>>tech to explore how technology is changing the way we live and work. The free and growing library of resources is intended to help the creators of tomorrow understand the basics of emerging technologies. For example, students will learn about today’s flood of information and the challenges of collecting, storing, and making sense of it (Big Data), as well as the practice of safeguarding data and the systems we use to store and transmit them (Cybersecurity). They will learn how cutting-edge medical innovations are changing how we think about healthcare (Digital Health) and be introduced to the interconnected gadgets revolutionizing how we live, work, and play (Internet of Things). And they will investigate the systems and devices that think, talk, and act—and maybe feel—just as we do (Artificial Intelligence).
The EcoTarium offers interactive, educator-led programs aligned to current science standards. Children in prekindergarten through grade 8 can join an EcoTarium educator live on Zoom and engage in science explorations on topics such as Animal Adaptations and Understanding Weather.
The Oceans of Data Institute began as an initiative of the Learning and Teaching Division at Education Development Center (EDC). Over three years, the institute’s Preschool Data Collection and Analysisproject created and tested problem-solving activities for young children.
