3D Puzzle Game with a Mysterious, Atmospheric Story
In the Machinika Museum, students will discover beautiful and mysterious machines of unknown origins through an atmospheric, galaxy-spanning 3D puzzle game. Developed by Littlefield Studios, Machinika Museum takes students deep inside a dusty workshop, where they must examine and fix the technological discoveries coming from archaeological sites of the far reaches of the galaxy. But something is unusual: What are these machines? Who sent them? Why won’t anyone give them any answers? Students will have to use logic and observation to decipher the secretsand stories hiddenbehind these mechanisms. The app is available in English, Spanish, French, German, and Italian for iPad and Android devices. The game can also be downloaded on STEAM. Cost: App is a free-to-try demo that includes the first chapter; in-app purchases unlock all of the game’s content.

Minecraft has released an immersive educational game called Active Citizen, in partnership with the Nobel Peace Center and Games for Change. The goal of the game is to help educate youth worldwide about Nobel Peace Prize laureates, past and present, and foster an understanding of the skills needed to drive positive change in the world.
Project Budburst, which is managed by the National Ecological Observatory and Chicago Botanic Garden, collects data on the timing of leafing, flowering, and fruiting of plants throughout the year to help scientists investigate the impact of climate change on different species.
