Dollar General’sYouth Literacy Grants support literacy programs designed to help students who are experiencing difficulty reading or are performing below grade level. Grants are available for schools, public libraries, and nonprofit organizations. Funds can be used for purchasing books or other materials, expanding an existing literacy program, and/or purchasing new technology for literacy learning. The maximum amount to be awarded is $4,000.

REALM is a program sponsored by the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) to publicly recognize excellent literary magazines produced by students with the support of their teachers. REALM is designed to encourage all schools to develop literary magazines that celebrate the art and craft of writing.
The BookmarkED 2023 Book Club is a one-of-a-kind online experience bringing together authors and artists with K–12 teachers to explore literacy in a whole new way. The event will be held from July 1 to 22, 2023, and everything is online in a user-friendly community platform.
