1. Virtual Camp for Youth Who Aspire to Be Scientists and Leaders
BYJU’S Summer Camp 2022 is the largest virtual summer camp for youth aged 6–18. Students will have the opportunity to participate in 10 classes from world-renowned experts, including scientists, mathematicians, and even a cool robot. They will learn by doing, creating, and experimenting, as they develop STEM skills and experience social–emotional learning.
2. App to Build a 3D World in Augmented Reality
Sandbox AR from Discovery Education is an award-winning digital media platform that serves more than 4.5 million students worldwide across 140 countries. New to Sandbox AR is an app that was launched in 2022. The free augmented reality app, available on iPad only at the time of the launch, takes advantage of the device’s camera, display, motion sensors, and high-speed processors to meld reality and digital creations.
3. Robotics Curriculum Developing Computational Thinking Skills
Developed by researchers at TERC and Tuft University’s Center for Engineering Education and Outreach (CEEO), the Designing Biomimetic Robots curriculum challenges middle school students to learn about biomimicry by interweaving engineering, biology, robotics, and computer programming concepts through a series of engaging and practical tasks.
4. Digitized, Curated Collection of Museum Activities
The Museums for Digital Learning (MDL) is a way for museums of all disciplines to leverage digitized museum collections to help K–12 educators and students. MDL content and interactive features are developed by museum education and curatorial professionals in consultation with classroom educators and technology specialists.
5. Toolkit for Designing Games That Lead to Change
Games are microcosms of the real world, making play and design a springboard for possibility. The Game Design Studio Toolkit supports teens in using game design to lead systems of change, engaging teens in individual and collective reflection and action as they create their own games.
